The California Department of Education, Nutrition Services Division oversees the Child Care Food Program as well as many other nutrition programs. They review, audit and provide training to sponsors of the Program, and participate in meetings and conferences given by the CCFP Roundtable.
The National CACFP Forum was created because the administering agency and policies for this program differ from state to state, and food program sponsors felt a need to organize and share information which would improve service delivery, demonstrate support for quality nutrition, and establish accountability for proper administration of federal funds.

California Food Policy Advocates (CFPA) is a statewide advocacy and public policy organization dedicated to improving the health and well being of low-income Californians by increasing their access to nutritious, affordable and safe food. Established in 1992, CFPA assists communities to identify and solve hunger, food access and distribution problems through understandable and strategically designed research, program development, community education, organizing and advocacy support.

The CACFP National Professional Association is a nonprofit organization of professionals who support the federal Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Association members include state agency staff and affiliate organizations.

U.S.D.A. Food and Nutrition Serice (FNS) reduces hunger and food insecurity in partnership with cooperating organizations by providing children and needy families access to food, a healthful diet and nutrition education in a manner that supports American agriculture and inspires public confidence. FNS oversees the Child and Adult Care Food Program and participate in Roundtable meetings and conferences.
